Great projects to keep the kids busy.
Final Result
Materials
• Wooden dolly peg
• Red felt square
• Small white pompom
• 1 x black chenille stick
• 2 x white chenille sticks
• Small metallic buckle
• Small length of yarn for hair
• Kaisercraft acrylic paint - white & black
• Paint brush
• PVA glue or craft glue
• Fine tip permanent marker - black
• Scissors
Step 1
Paint the top of the wooden dolly peg with white paint and the bottom half of the peg with black paint.
Let dry.
Step 2
Cut a small semi-circle from red felt.
Roll into a hat shape and glue together at the top of the peg head.
Glue a small white pompom to the end of the hat.
Step 3
To make the red coat cut a ‘T’ shape from red felt.
Wrap around the front of the peg, under the head of the peg and glue at the back to secure, with the ends of the ‘T’ shape making the arms out to each side.
Step 4
Cut small pieces of white chenille stick to embellish the red coat.

Stick a piece on the cuff of each arm, along the bottom of jacket, straight down the centre front of coat and around the front of the face to give the look of a beard.
Step 5
Thread a black chenille stick through small buckle.

Wrap around the waist of coat.

Twist chenille stick at the back to secure, trim away excess ends.
Step 6
Glue a small red pompom to the face of the peg just above the beard.

With a fine tip pen, draw eyes onto Santa’s face above the pompom nose.
