Final Result
Materials
• 12” x 12” scalloped edge cardstock
• A5 salmon textured cardstock
• A5 mustard textured cardstock
• A5 aqua textured cardstock
• A5 lime green textured cardstock
• scrap white textured cardstock
• glitter pen
• small glass beads
• stamping ink - white & dark brown
• Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo & Black Soot
• foam mounting squares or dots
• 5cm chenille ribbon
• rubber stamps such as scroll, birds, clouds
• ink applicator
• adhesives including dimensional adhesive
• scissors
• paper trimmer
Step 1
Stamp two or more of each image on a sheet of your coloured cardstock. One of the images will be stuck flat to the card and the other images will be used to create the dimensional versions.
Step 2
Rub over the darker cardstock colours with some white ink and rub into the card to lighten the image. Cut around the images loosely leaving some additional cardstock around edge. For the dimensional pieces, remove some elements such as some of the leaves on a scroll or the bird’s legs and topknot.
Step 3
Trim a piece of aqua textured cardstock to 11.5cm x 13cm and ink the edges. Trim a sheet of lime green cardstock to 13cm wide. Draw a rough hill shape on the lime card and cut out. Ink the edges of the hill and adhere the hill to the bottom of the aqua cardstock.
Step 4
Adhere the complete stamped cardstock pieces, to the hill scene. Use the full stamped images not those that you have cut pieces from. Wherever you will be putting very small layered pieces on top of the stamped image, glue some small glass beads using dimensional adhesive - the beads will act as risers to give you some height and they are small enough they won’t be seen.
Step 5
Adhere the dimensional shapes on top of the stamped images using foam squares or dots. This will raise the stamped cut-outs above the card surface. Use glass beads to give height in detail areas where foam dots would show. Vary the dimensionality, e.g. fix one end of a scroll flat to the page and use spacers to make the other ends higher than the page.

Draw details on the shapes using a glitter pen. Affix a small piece of chenille ribbon to the bird’s beak to represent a worm. Trim a sheet of scalloped edge cardstock to 13.5cm x 28cm and fold in half to make a card. Ink the edges and affix the assembled pieces to the front of the card.
