- Sport Support Yarn
5 x 50g ball 1st Colour (C1)
5 x 50g ball 2nd Colour (C2)
5 x 50g ball 3rd Colour (C3)
A pair 4.00mm (US 6), (UK 8) Knitting Needles or size that gives correct tension/gauge.
A yarn needle. - Step 1
- Square A (make 7)
Using 4.00mm (US 6), (UK 8) Needles and C1, cast on 31 sts.
Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS).
4th row - Knit.
5th row - K3, purl to last 3 sts, K3.
Rep 4th and 5th rows until work measures 14 cms/ 51?2 ins from beg, ending with a 5th row.
Knit 3 rows garter st.
Cast/bind off loosely knitways. - Step 2
- Square b (make 7)
Work as for Square A, using C2 in place of C1. - Step 3
- Square C (make 7)
Work as for Square A, using C3 in place of C1. - Step 4
- Square d (make 7)
Using 4.00mm (US 6), (UK 8) Needles and C1, cast on 31 sts. Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS).
Note - do not break off yarn after completing each stripe, instead carry yarn not in use loosely up side of work until required again.
Using C2, 4th row - Knit.
5th row - K3, purl to last 3 sts, K3.
Using C1, rep 4th and 5th rows once.
Last 4 rows form stripes.
Keeping stripes correct, rep 4th and 5th rows until work measures approx 14 cms/51?2 ins from beg, ending with 2 rows of C2.
Break off C2.
Using C1, knit 3 rows garter st.
Cast/bind off loosely knitways.
Square E (make 7) Work as for Square d, using C3 in place of C2. - Step 5
- Square F (make 7)
Work as for Square d, using C2 in place of C1 and C3 in place of C2. - Step 6
- Finishing

Using yarn needle, darn in ends. Using yarn needle, a flat seam and desired colours to match, join squares together following diagram for placement (see below).

21 sts and 27 rows to 10 cm/4 ins over stocking st, using 4.00mm (US 6), (UK 8) Knitting Needles.
