Round Ribbon decorated papier mache box

Do wonderful things with papier mache.

Materials
• Medium round papier mache box
• Kaisercraft acrylic paint - white
• Folk Art Acrylic paint - #659 Metallic Pearl White
• Paint brush
• Beaded blue ribbon trim
• 15mm wide blue satin ribbon
• 25mm wide blue satin ribbon
• 3mm wide silver edged pink satin ribbon
• 10mm wide silver edged pink satin ribbon
• Co-ordinating organza ribbons
• Craft knife
• Double-sided tape or craft glue/hot glue gun
• Scissors
Step 1
Paint box lid and base with white paint and allow to dry, then paint a thin layer of metallic pearl white paint over the top of the white paint and allow to dry.
Step 2
Stick 15mm blue satin ribbon around the sides of the base of the box 1cm up from the bottom edge then stick 10mm silver edge pink ribbon to the centre of the blue ribbon.
Step 3
Stick the beaded blue ribbon around the rim of the box lid then stick the 3mm silver edged pink ribbon to the centre of the beaded ribbon.
Step 4
Using the craft knife make a small slit in the centre of the lid and thread through 10mm silver edged pink ribbon to make a loop.

Knot the ribbon inside lid to secure the loop.
Step 5
Place gift inside box and close lid.

Glue lid to box base if desired.
Step 6
Tie bows with decorative ribbons and either glue or tie to the base of the hanging loop.
