- Materials
- • 2 x 50g balls ‘Moda Vera’ Pure Wool 8ply - purple
• 2 x 50g balls ‘Moda Vera’ Pure Wool 8ply - pink
• 5.50mm & 6.50mm crochet hooks
• Stitch markers, yarn needle & scissors - Step 1
- CAP
This cap is worked in a continuous spiral of both colours, meaning that each colour is worked on top of the other colour without breaking either yarn.
It is best to place a stitch at the beginning of each round to keep track of your colours and rounds. - Step 2
- Using purple pure wool 8ply yarn and a 6.50mm hook, make 2ch.
Rnd 1: 2dc in 2nd ch from hook, 2htr, 8tr in same st, take hook out of loop and leave for the moment.
Rnd 2: Join pink with sl st in same st, 1ch, 2htr in 1st dc, 2htr in each st to end, drop loop (24 htr).
Rnd 3: Pick up purple loop, work 2htr in next pink st, (1htr in next, 2htr in next st) repeat to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 4: Pick up pink loop, work 2htr in next purple st, 1htr in each st to marker.
Rnd 5: Pick up purple loop, work 2htr in next pink st, (1htr in next, 2htr in next st) repeat to marker, drop loop (50 htr).
Rnd 6: Pick up pink loop, work 2htr in next purple st, 1htr in each st to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 7: Pick up purple loop, work 2htr in next pink st, 1htr in each st to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 8: Pick up pink loop, work 1htr in next purple st, 1htr in each st to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 9: Pick up purple loop, work 1htr in next pink st, 1htr in each st to marker, drop loop.
Repeat rounds 8 & 9 seven times.
Rnd 26: Using pink yarn work 1dc, sl st into next st, fasten off pink. Pick up purple loop, 1htr in each of next 8 sts, 2htr in next st, 2tr in next st, 2hdtr in next st, 2tr in next st, 2htr in next st, 1htr in each of next 24 sts, 2htr in next st, 2tr in next st, 2hdtr in next st, 2tr in next st, 2htr in next st, 1htr in each st to end of round.
Rnd 27: 1htr in each of next 9 sts, 1htr in each of next 2 sts, 1tr in next st, 2tr in next st, 3hdtr in next st, 2tr in next st, 1tr in next st, 1htr in each of next 2sts, 1htr in each of next 28 sts, 1htr in each of next 2 sts, 1tr in next st, 2tr in next st, 3hdtr in next st, 2tr in next st, 1tr in next st, 1htr in each of next 2 sts, 1htr in each st to end of round, sl st and sew in all ends. - Step 3
- Finishing
Make a large pompom using both colours for top of cap.
Make 2 smaller ones for each ear flap, leaving a long tail so that the pompoms can be attached the cap. - Step 4
- BAG
This bag is worked in a continuous spiral of both colours, meaning that each colour is worked on top of theother colour without breaking either yarn.

Using purple pure wool 8ply yarn and a 5.50mm hook, make 2ch.
Rnd 1: 2dc in 2nd ch from hook, 2htr, 8tr in same st, take hook out of loop and leave for the moment.
Rnd 2: Join pink with sl st in same st, 1ch, 2dc in 1st dc, 2dc in each st to end, drop loop (24 dc).
Rnd 3: Pick up purple loop, work (2dc in next pink st, 1dc in next st) repeat to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 4: Pick up pink loop, work 1dc in each purple st to marker.
Rnd 5: Pick up purple loop, work (2dc in next pink st, 1dc in each of next 2 sts) repeat to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 6: Pick up pink loop, work 1dc in each purple st to marker.
Rnd 7: Pick up purple loop, work (2dc in next pink st, 1dc in each of next 3 sts) repeat to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 8: Pick up pink loop, work 1dc in each purple st to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 9: Pick up purple loop, work 1dc in each pink st to marke, drop loop.
Repeat rounds 8 & 9 twenty times each, then round 8 once to finish with a pink row.
Rnd 51: Pick up purple loop, work 1dc, (2ch, sk 2 dc, 1dc in each of next 2 sts) repeat to marker, drop loop.
Rnd 52: Pick up pink loop, work 1dc, 2ch, sk 1dc, 1dc in each purple st to marker, fasten off.
Rnd 53: Pick up purple loop, work (2dc, 2ch) in each purple st to marker.
Fasten off and sew in both ends. - Step 5

Using 1strand of each yarn make a long chain and tread through loops in the neck of the bag and tie into a circle. - Abbreviation
