- Materials
- - ‘Moda Vera’ MARVEL 8ply 100g balls 1 x 1st Colour (C1 – 1041 lemon)
1 x 2nd Colour (C2 – 1007 purple)
1 x 3rd Colour (C3 – 1012 pink)
1 x 4th Colour (C4 – 1010 melon)
- 1 pair 3.75mm (UK 9) knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension
- Yarn needle for sewing seams
Tension
24 sts and 31 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 3.75mm needles.
To work a tension square, using 3.75mm needles, cast on 36 sts.
Work 46 rows stocking st. Cast off loosely. Check your tension carefully.
If less sts to 10cm use smaller needles, if more sts use bigger needles. - Step 1
- Cover
Using 3.75mm needles and C2, cast on 74 sts.
1st row: K2, * P2, K2, rep from * to end. 2nd row: P2, * K2, P2, rep from * to end. Last 2 rows form rib.
Rep last 2 rows 4 times (10 rows rib in all). Work 2 rows stocking st, beg with a knit row. - Step 2
- Beg Stripe Patt
Using C3, work 10 rows stocking st.
Using C4, work 10 rows stocking st.
Using C1, work 10 rows stocking st.
Using C2, work 10 rows stocking st.
Last 40 rows form stripe patt.
Work a further 20 rows stripe patt (60 rows stocking st in all).
Using C4, Next row (Foldline) – Purl.
Work 9 rows stocking st, beg with a purl row.
Work 50 rows in stripes of 10 rows each C3, C2, C1,C4 and C3.
Using C2 for rem, work 2 rows stcoking st.
Work 10 rows rib (as before).
Cast off loosely in rib. - Step 3

DO NOT PRESS. Fold cover in half at foldline and join sides. - Note
- Use only the yarn specified. Other yarns are likely to produce different results. Quantities are approximate as they can vary between knitters.
