YARN BEE LiTTLE GRiNS #147
6 x 50g balls 1st Colour (C1)
5 x 50g balls 2nd Colour (C2)
5 x 50g balls 3rd Colour (C3)

HOOKS A 6.00mm (US J/10), (UK 4) Crochet Hook or size that gives correct tension/ gauge.

A Yarn Needle.

Step 1

TENSION/GAUGE
14 sts and 8 rows to 10 cms/4 ins over treble fabric, using 6.00mm (US J/10), (UK 4) Crochet Hook. Note - Correct tension/gauge is essential for a successful item.

Step 2

Throw (worked in rows) Using 6.00mm (US J/10), (UK 4) Hook and C1, make 103 ch.

1st row (right side) - 1tr in 4th ch from hook, * 1tr in next st, rep from * to end, joining in C3 in last st = 100tr.

2nd row - Using C3, 1ch, turn, 1dc in front loop of first st, * MB in next st, 1 dc in front loops of next 3 sts, rep from * to last 3 sts, MB in next st, 1dc in front loop of next st, 1dc in last st, join in C1 in last st = 25 Bobbles.

3rd row - Using C1, 1ch, turn, 1dc in first st, 1tr in front loop of st one row below next st, 1dc in top of bobble, * (1tr in front loop of st one row below next st) 3 times, 1dc in top of bobble, rep from * to last st, 1dc in last st.

4th row - Using C1, 3ch, turn, * 1tr in next st, rep from * to end, changing to C2 in last st. 5th row - Using C2, 3ch, turn, * 1tr in next st, rep from * to end, changing to C3 in last st.

6th row - As 2nd row, changing to C2 in last st. 7th row - As 3rd row. 8th row - As 4th row, changing to C1 in last st.

Rows 1 to 8 inclusive form bobble pattern. Rep rows 1 to 8 inclusive a further 8 times, then rows 1 to 4 incl once, changing to C3 in last st. DO NOT FASTEN OFF.

Step 3

Border (worked in rounds)

1st round - Using 6.00mm (US J/10), (UK 4) Hook and C3, 3ch, turn, 2tr in same place as 3ch, * 1tr in each st to corner, 3tr in corner, 133tr evenly along side edge to next corner *, 3tr in next corner, rep from * to * once, join with a sl st to 3rd of beg ch = 476 sts.

Fasten off C3.

Step 4

2nd round - Join in C2 to any st, 3ch, 1tr in each st around edge of throw, noting to work 3tr in centre st of corner group of previous round, join with a sl st to 3rd ch of beg 3ch. Fasten off C2.

Step 5

3rd round - Join in C1 in any st and work as for 2nd round. Fasten off.

Step 6

Finishing
Using yarn needle, darn in ends.
