Decorate votive candle holders using a few simple stitches.

Materials

sleeve 1
• 115mm printed broderie floral border trim
• 16mm embroidered flower trim

Sleeve 2
• 60mm printed broderie floral eyelet trim
• 40mm red scallop lace trim
• 5mm ribbon (to thread through eyelets)

Sleeve 3
• 32mm white broderie eyelet trim
• 60mm green scallop lace trim
• 25mm green scallop lace trim
• 16mm embroidered flower trim

Step 1

Sleeve 1

Double hem the raw edge of broderie trim. Topstitch the embroidered flower trim on right side over the hem stitching. Sew short raw ends of trims together, right sides facing with a 1cm seam allowance. Turn right side out and slip over glass.

Step 2

Sleeve 2

Slightly overlap broderie trim on the straight edge of lace trim and topstitch together. Sew short raw ends of trims together, right sides facing with a 1cm seam allowance. Turn right side out. Thread ribbon through eyelets in trim, tie in a bow at front and slip sleeve over glass.

Step 3

Sleeve 3

Slightly overlap broderie trim on edge of 60mm lace trim and topstitch. Overlap other side of broderie trim on straight edge of 25mm lace trim and topstitch. Topstitch embroidered floral trim on right side of broderie trim over eyelet holes. Sew short raw ends of trims together, right sides facing with a 1cm seam allowance. Turn right side out and slip over glass.
