Knotted necklace

Oooh, I LOVE making jewellery. This necklace is one of my favourites.

Final Result

Materials

• 1.5m thin black leather or synthetic thonging
• 5 x green oval beads
• 10 x black round beads
• scissors

Step 1

Tie a knot 20cm from the end of the thonging and thread on one round black bead then an oval green bead and a second black bead. Tie another knot at the end of the beads.

Step 2

Tie a knot 17cm from the last group of beads. Repeat the black, green, black bead combo and tie another knot.

Step 3

Repeat the knotted combos until there are five knotted groups of beads. Trim the ends of the thonging and tie them together.
