- Materials
- • candle wax
• old saucepan
• clean 1 litre milk carton
• 2 trays of ice cubes
• candle - Step 1
- Melt the candle wax in an old saucepan (at a low temperate, do not boil the wax). Pour 1cm of wax into the bottom of the milk carton and leave to cool for 5 minutes. Push the base of the candle into the wax in the centre of the milk carton and leave to cool.
- Step 2
- Place the ice cubes into the milk carton around the candle and pour melted wax over them until the carton is filled up to the top of the candle. Leave to cool.
- Step 3
- When the wax has set take the milk carton to the sink then peel the carton open. The melted ice cube water won’t make a mess this way. When the candle has dried off it’s ready to use.
- Handy Hint
- Experiment with different sizes and styles of containers to make different shaped candles.
