How to - Backing stitchery

Your preference.

Step 1

Press and trim stitchery to required size. Cut cardboard and wadding to size 2cm smaller all round than the stitchery.

Step 2

Glue the wadding to the cardboard making sure no glue comes over the edge. Allow glue to dry.

Step 3

Place stitchery face down on table and centre padded cardboard (step 2) on top wadding side down. Fold corners in using a dab of glue to hold in place.

Step 4

Fold each side over using a small dab of glue to hold in place.

Step 5

Using needle and thread stitch along each diagonal, pulling corners together to create a neat square corner.
