Gift box advent calendar

- Materials
- • 12 small gift boxes with lids (6cm x 6cm x 3cm) in co-ordinating colours
• 12 medium gift boxes with lids (7.5cm x 7.5cm x 6cm) in co-ordinating colours
• assorted number stickers in white, pink, silver
• silver butterfly stickers
• 1 pk Jenni B silver metal butterflies
• 3 x 12cm feather butterflies
• 5 x 9cm beaded butterflies
• 4 x 4.5cm glitter butterflies
• 8 x 4cm feather butterflies
• assorted ribbons - white, silver,
hot pink, purple & aqua
• hot glue gun & glue sticks/or craft glue
• scissors
• tape measure/ruler
• wire cutters
Note: white, silver, hot pink, purple & aqua boxes used. - Step 1
- To make handle loops on all boxes
Cut a 30cm length of ribbon. Glue one end of the ribbon to the underside of the lid, loop ribbon up to make a handle and glue the other end of ribbon underneath lid on opposite side.
Repeats of 6 different designs were used for the Advent calendar. - Step 2
- Design 1
For numbers 1, 3, 11, 18, 20. Use medium sized gift box and make box handle using 1cm wide ribbon.
Place gift inside box, place lid on box and adhere number stickers to front side of box base.
Loop narrow 3mm ribbon into 6 loops, tie together and glue to top of lid. Using wire cutters cut wire off large beaded butterfly and glue on top of ribbon loops. - Step 3

For numbers 2, 12, 16, 19.
Use small sized gift box and make box handle using a narrow ribbon.
Place gift inside box, place lid on box and adhere number stickers to top of lid in bottom right corner.
Stick a silver butterfly sticker to top left corner of lid. Wrap base of box with narrow ribbon and glue ends at back to secure. - Step 4

For numbers 4, 10, 15.
Use medium sized gift box and make box handle using 1cm wide ribbon.
Place gift inside box, place lid on box and adhere number stickers to front side of box base. Using wire cutters cut wire off large feather butterfly and glue in centre of ribbon handle.
Wrap sides of box lid with narrow ribbon and glue ends at back to secure. - Step 5
- Design 4
For numbers 5, 9, 21, 22.
Use small sized gift box and make box handle using a narrow ribbon.
Place gift inside box, place lid on box and adhere number stickers to top of lid in desired position. Using wire cutters cut wire off 2 small feather or glitter butterflies and glue on top of lid around number stickers.
Wrap base of box with medium width ribbon and glue ends at back to secure. - Step 6
- Design 5
For numbers 6, 8, 13, 23.
Use medium sized gift box and make box handle using 1cm wide ribbon.
Place gift inside box, place lid on box and adhere number stickers to the top of lid in any corner. Tie narrow ribbon around box both ways and tie in a bow on top of lid in opposite corner to number sticker. Using wire cutters cut wire off 1 small feather or glitter butterfly and glue on top of ribbon bow on lid. - Step 7

For numbers 7, 14, 17, 24.
Use small sized gift box and make box handle using a narrow ribbon.
Place gift inside box, place lid on box and attach number sticker to top of lid in any position. Bend the wings of 2 of the metal butterfly shapes. Glue to lid around number stickers.
