Crochet wire coat hanger

• 5.00mm crochet hook
• scissors
• yarn needle for sewing

Step 1

Make 2.
beg shell = (3ch, 1tr, 1ch, 2tr)
shell = (2tr, 1ch, 2tr)
Foundation: 5ch, sl st to 1st ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: 3ch, 2tr into ring, (1ch, 3tr,) three times, 1ch, sl st to 3rd ch of starting ch, sl st across next 2tr, sl st to 1-ch sp.
Rnd 2: beg shell in same sp as sl st, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) three times, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 3: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 1ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 1ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 4: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 2ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 2ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, slst into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 5: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 3ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 3ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.

Rnd 8: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 6ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 6ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 9: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 7ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 7ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 10: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 8ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 8ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 11: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 9ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 9ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 12: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 10ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 10ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 13: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 11ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 11ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Rnd 14: beg shell in same sp as sl st, shell in next 1-ch sp of next shell below, 12ch, (shell in next 1-ch sp of shell below) twice, 12ch, sl st into 3rd ch of beg shell, sl st into next tr, sl st into 1-ch sp.
Slide a sleeve over each side of the coat hanger and join the two sides together by sewing the tops of the shells. Weave in all ends.

Step 2

Neck collar - make 7ch.
Row 1: 1dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in each st, turn.
Row 2: 1ch, 1dc in each of the next 6dc, turn.
Row 3-4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: dec over next 2 st, 1dc in each of the next 2 sts, dec over last 2 sts, turn.
Row 6: 1ch, 1dc in each of the next 4dc.
Turn work on side and fold in half lengthways and working through both sides, work 1dc in each row, turn (6 dc).
Working back along the seam make (20ch, sl st into 1st dc) twice, 10ch, sl st into same dc, *(10ch, sl st into next dc, 10ch, sl st into same dc) repeat from * into all dc, finishing with 10ch, sl st into the last dc.
Fasten off and sew in ends. Slide collar over hook and down neck to cover the join in the coat hanger.
