- 5 x 50g balls ‘Moda Vera’ Pure Wool 8ply – black
12 x 50g balls ‘Moda Vera’ Pure Wool 8ply – 12 different colours
6.00mm crochet hook
Scissors, yarn needle - Step 1
- PATCHWORK TRIANGLES (make 60, 5 of each colour)
Rnd 1: Using colour, 3ch, join with sl st in 1st ch to form ring; 5ch, 3tr in ring, 2ch, 3tr in ring, 2ch, 2tr in ring, join with sl st into 3rd ch of st-ch, sl st into 2-ch corner, (3tr on each side). - Step 2
- Rnd 2: 5ch, 2tr in same 2-ch cnr, * 1tr in each tr to cnr, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) in next 2-ch cnr, repeat from * once, 1tr in each tr to cnr, 1tr in 1st 2-ch cnr; join with sl st into 3rd ch of st-ch, sl st into 2-ch cnr, (7 tr on each side).
- Step 3
- Rnd 3: 3ch, 2tr in same 2-ch cnr, * 1tr in each tr to cnr, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) in next 2-ch cnr, repeat from * once, 1tr in each tr to cnr, 1tr in 1st 2-ch cnr; join with sl st into 3rd ch of st-ch, sl st into 2-ch cnr, (11tr on each side).
- Step 4
- Rnd 4: Change to black, sl st into 2-ch lp, 1ch, 3dc in lp, (1dc in each of next 11 tr, 5dc in next lp) twice, 1dc in each of next 11 tr, 2dc in 1st lp, sl st into 1st dc.
- Step 5
- Fasten off.
Sew in all ends and block all triangles. - Step 6
- JOINING TRIANGLEs
Separate the triangles into groups of twelve and sort them into an order which looks pleasing. When you pick your order, make all five columns identical.
Sew triangles together down one side using a whip st, leaving the 3dc in each corner unattached. 
- Step 7
- Continue until you have 12 triangles joined together then join the 1st triangle to the last one to form ring of triangles. Repeat until you have 5 rings of triangles.

- Step 8
- Repeat until all 5 rings are joined to form the tube of the skirt.
To work the hem, sl st into one end of the tube and work a round of dc around the ring, sl st into the 1st dc, 1ch 1dc in same st as sl st, 1dc into each dc. Fasten off and sew in ends. - Step 9
- WAISTBAND
Repeat as for hem, working 5 rounds of dc.
Rnd 6: 1dc, 1ch, 1tr into each dc, sl st into 1st ch of st-st. - Step 10
- Rnd 7: 1fp dc, 1ch around 1st st, (1bp tr around next st, 1fp tr around next st) repeat to last st, 1bp tr around last st, sl st into 1st ch of st-st.
Repeat row 7 seven times. - Step 11
- Rnd 15: 1fp dc, 1ch around 1st st, (1bp htr around next st, 1fp htr around next st) repeat to last st, 1bp htr around last st, sl st into 1st ch of st-st.
- Step 12
- Rnd 16: 1dc in 1st st, *(2ch, sk 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 3 sts), repeat from * to end, sl st to 1st dc.
Fasten off and sew in all ends. - Abbreviation
