Crackle-Finish Paper Mache Letter

This paper mache letter has a fun crackled finish. Pretty collage images are applied using craft glue, then the piece is finished with a ribbon.

Materials

Paper mache letter
Eco Green Crafts’Acrylic Paints
Craft Glue
Heat tool
Collage images
Ribbon

Step 1

Paint a base coat of Eco Green Crafts’ Acrylic Paint (your choice of color) over the letter. Allow to dry completely.

Step 2

Paint a fairly thick coat of glue over the entire surface. Allow to dry until just tacky (NOT completely dry!).

Step 3

Apply another coat of paint over the glue, using a different color.

Step 4

Apply heat to the painted surface with your heat tool. As the paint and glue dry, you’ll see the crackles form. Finish crackling the entire surface.

Step 5

Adhere collage images of your choice.

Step 6

Embellish with ribbon as desired.
