Materials

• 1.7m leather thonging
• assorted beads & charms
• a watch face
• jump rings
• head pins
• eye pins
• pliers
• scissors

Step 1

Measure the thonging to go around the waist or hips twice and tie with some extra length to hang. This one is 1.7m long. Find the centre of the length and tie a knot in the leather. Attach the watch face with a jump ring then tie another knot.

Step 2

Create 8 beaded elements using head pins and eye pins with assorted beads and charms. Attach all of these elements to the leather thonging on both sides of the watch face using jump rings and tying knots in between each jump ring.

Step 3

Tie a knot at each end and attach another arrangement of beads to the very end. Tie another knot to keep it in place.
