- Materials
- • large cotton waffle tea towel
• Christmas fabric (‘Tis the Season’ stripe)
• 20cm red rickrack
• 20cm green rickrack
• 20cm white rickrack
• 20cm x 5mm green topstitched grosgrain ribbon
• 20cm x 9mm red topstitched grosgrain ribbon
• sewing machine
• sewing thread
• scissors
• tape measure/ruler
• pins
• iron - Step 1
- Cut 2 x pieces of Christmas fabric (with stripes vertical), each measuring 10cm high by the width of tea towel plus 2cm. Cut all ribbons and trims into 10cm lengths. Pin and topstitch ribbons and trims to the fabric running parallel with stripes in fabric. Press all raw edges of fabric under 1cm. Pin one piece of decorated fabric to each end of tea towel approximately 5cm in from each end. Topstitch decorated fabric to tea towel 3mm in from all edges of the fabric.
