By Spotlight
- The party season will soon be upon us.
This is the perfect opportunity to have some fun with beads.
We’ve created easy to make earrings. New decorated head pins add instant detail to any pair of earrings. Angel wings and angel charms lend themselves to the season’s festivities. Wear them yourself, or create some very individual gifts. - Final Result

- Materials
- • glass faceted teardrop - red
• 8mm diamante rondel ball - silver
• 65mm head pins - silver
• lever back earrings - silver
• cutting pliers
• round nose pliers
• bead board - Step 1
- Cut the ‘head’ off a 65mm head pin and thread through the hole at the top of the faceted teardrop so the teardrop is positioned in the centre of the head pin.
Carefully twist the ends of the head pin around each other and create a loop at one end.
Wind the other end around the loop to neaten it off.
Form a loop in one end of a head pin but before closing the loop attach it to the red faceted unit.
Cut off excess head pin, leaving 7mm at the end.
Turn the end into a loop but before closing the loop attach it to the lever back earring. - Handy Hint
- Make a different pair of earrings to wear to each Christmas event on your calendar - casual or dressy.
