Candy Cane Christmas Lunch Invitation

Materials

Weave cardstock - rouge & white
10mm red grosgrain ribbon with white stitching
Mini white rickrack
Large white button
Zig Writer Pen - 0.5mm & 1.2mm Black
Double-sided tape
Paper trimmer or Craft Knife, Ruler & Cutting Mat
Sewing machine
Red & white sewing thread
Scissors
Craft Glue

Step 1

Cut a 20cm wide x 10cm high rectangle high from white cardstock and a 19cm wide x 9.5cm high rectangle from rouge cardstock.

Step 2

Using white sewing thread stitch rouge card to the white card centered widthwise with top edges aligned.

Step 3

Cut a 17.5cm wide x 4.5cm high rectangle from white cardstock and stick to step 2 with edges aligned on the right-hand side and 2cm up from the bottom edge.

Stitch across the white card 1cm down from the top edge using red sewing thread.

Step 4

Stick a length of white rickrack across the width of the invitation 2cm down from the top edge and grosgrain ribbon down the left-hand side 2.5cm in from the edge.

Step 5

Using black pen write invitation details to the right of the grosgrain ribbon.

Step 6

Glue large white button where the grosgrain ribbon intersects with the rickrack.

Tie a bow with grosgrain ribbon and glue bow on top of the button.
