Beaded bracelets for friends

Materials

• Bead Girls friendship bracelet kit
• scissors

Kit contains embroidery floss & beads to make 2 bracelets. Kits come in a variety of designs.

Step 1

Cut a 1m length of thread - this is your core thread. Cut a 2m length of thread - this is your knotting thread.

Step 2

Fold the core thread in half and attach the knotting thread by folding the thread in half placing the looped end across the core thread and pulling the loose end through the loop as shown in diagram 1.

Step 3

Thread the right knotting thread under the core thread and then over the left knotting thread. The left knotting thread weaves over the core thread and under the right knotting thread as shown in diagram 2.

Step 4

Repeat step 3 until desired length, making sure the knotting thread on the right side always goes under the core thread and over the left knotting thread, and the left knotting thread always goes over the core thread and under the right knotting thread as shown in diagram 3.

Step 5

The knots will naturally twist around the centre cords as you tie as shown in diagram 4.

Step 6

Thread the beads onto the core thread, repeating step 3 twice between each bead.

Step 7

To finish the bracelet tie a double knot with all threads, and use this knot to fasten through the loop at the opposite end of the bracelet.
