Oooh, these guys are so cute! The perfect characters for a puppet show!

Final Result

Materials

• yarn - in colours of choice
• needle & thread
• strong cardboard
• scissors
• felt scraps
• craft glue

Step 1

Cut a piece of cardboard 15cm long, wrap the pink yarn around the cardboard 20 times and tie at the back. Tie yarn at the top. Divide the bottom of the yarn into two bunches of ten strands and tie yarn at the base of each bunch. Slip the yarn off the cardboard.

Step 2

Start at the neck and wrap a contrast colour yarn around the bunch to form the body. Wrap another colour yarn around each leg. Sew 8 x 15cm lengths of pink thread though the body then wrap to form the arms. For girl dolls cut out a skirt from felt.

Step 3

Sew a mouth and eyes onto the face. Sew hair onto the head and trim the legs and arms. For a girl doll glue the skirt in place.
