Materials

• white or coloured card
• pencil
• chenille needle
• scraps of yarn in various
• colours
• scissors
• sticky tape

Step 1

Draw picture or trace a stencil onto card.

Thread yarn onto needle and tie a knot in one end.

Insert needle from back of card and pull yarn through card until knot sits at back.

Place a small piece of tape over knot.

Push needle back through card 1.5cm along. Bring needle to the front 0.5cm along.

Continue stitching, changing colour by knotting at the back of the work.

Areas can stitched in if desired.
