• scissors
• inking sponge

• paper trimmer - Step 1
- From the matt board cut two squares, one 5cm x 5cm, the other 2cm x 2cm. Using a foam brush paint both shapes with yellow paint and allow to dry. Brush over with dabs of red paint and allow to dry. Finish with small additional accents of yellow paint.

- Step 2
- Ink a large word stamp with embossing ink and stamp onto the painted surfaces. Dust with gold embossing powder and heat set to finish.

- Step 3
- Assemble the mini collage by adhering a strip of red adhesive mesh to the left of the large shape. Place two halves of the press stud on the right of the shape and a spiral pin below. Adhere the stamp over the edge of the mesh. For the small square, adhere a single spiral clip. When each piece is dry, cover the shape with a thin layer of dimensional adhesive and allow to dry. Reapply 2-3 coats of dimensional adhesive to build up a glossy rigid surface.

- Step 4
- Cut the green cardstock to 15cm x 15cm, the yellow cardstock to 8cm x 9cm and the purple cardstock to 2.5cm x 5cm. On the yellow cardstock mark a point 2cm in along one 8cm side. Draw a line from this point to the adjacent corner and trim to make a trapezoid shape. Fold the 15cm x 15cm card in half to a long tall card. Using the inking sponge ink the edges of all the paper shapes first with Old Paper, then with Tea Dye and finally with Black Soot. Wrap a knitting needle with wire making a few coils before threading a bead onto the wire. Add a few more coils and another bead and repeat once more. The finished coiled piece should be approximately 3.5cm to 4cm long.

- Step 5
- Stretch the wire coil so it is the length of the large glossy shape. Make two small holes in the bottom edge of the shape with the awl. Thread the wire ends through the holes and tape the wire at the back of the shape to secure. Adhere the yellow shape over the edge of the green cardstock. Adhere the large dimensional embellishment onto the yellow shape. Adhere the purple shape across the bottom of the card flush with its edge. Adhere the small embellished shape over the top of this. Set the card aside to dry. If necessary place a heavy book on it to ensure the glue adheres.

- Handy Hint
- Using matt board ensures that the shape will not distort when wet with layers of dimensional glue.
