Materials

• 1 x 50g ball ‘Bella Baby’ Layette
• 1 pair 4.5mm knitting needles
• 4 x 10mm mother of pearl buttons
• scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

Step 1

Cast on 27 (31, 35, 39) sts and work 2rows garter st.
Next row: K1, M1, K12 (14, 16, 18), M1, K1, M1, K12 (14, 16, 18), M1, K1 [31 (35, 39, 43) sts].
Knit 1 row.
Next row: K2, M1, K12 (14, 16, 18), M1, K3, M1, K12 (14, 16, 18), M1, K2 [35 (39, 43, 47) sts].
Knit 1 (3, 5, 7) rows.
Dec for upper side of foot.
Next row: K14 (16, 18, 20), K2tog, K3, K2tog, K14 (16, 18, 20).
Knit 1 row.
Next row: K14 (16, 18, 20), K2tog, K1, K2tog, K14 (16, 18, 20).
Knit 1 row.
Next row: K13 (15, 17, 19), K2tog, K1, K2tog, K13 (15, 17, 19).
Knit 1 row.
Cont dec on ea side of centre st until 21 (23, 25, 27) sts rem.
Knit 4 (5, 5, 6)cm for cuff.
Cast off.

Step 2

Finishing
Fold booties in half, right sides facing, and sew together starting at the toe, leaving 4.5cm unstitched for the cuff.

Turn right side out, sew 2 buttons on seam and turn down cuff.
