This is a new joint venture initiative between World Vision and Spotlight beginning this November.
In communities around the world, World Vision works directly with people living with severe poverty. One of the most effective ways to help people living in such extreme circumstances is to empower them to help themselves. This can be achieved by giving them the means to earn an income and improve their own quality of life while breaking the vicious poverty cycle.
One such proven ’micro-enterprise’ is women’s sewing groups. By trading in your old sewing machine at your local Spotlight store, you will not only earn a $75 toward your new machine, but know that you have directly affected the lives of desperate people across the globe.
